The "Go live" time for domain registration on the second level is 8.00 AM local Nigerian time (GMT+1) on Tuesday April 16, 2013.
NIRA has promised to forward to Registrars a list of domain names considered premium which will not be available for registration but would rather be offered up for auction at a later date. Any name not on the premium list and not prohibited by existing NIRA policy should be considered good for registration and will be on a first-come basis.
As soon as we receive this list, we shall upload it to our servers and make it available to all registered clients.
Second level domains (e.g. omy.ng) will sell for NGN 15,000 or $100.
